Summer Day Camps

2016 History Center Summer Day Camps

Pioneer Life at the Cabin Summer Day Camp
Description: Are you ready to travel back in time? Young boys and girls will have the chance to see what life was like and pretend they lived 150 years ago.  They will work alongside an interpreter as they live the life of a pioneer child.  Children will tend the garden, beat the rugs, wash clothes, play pioneer games, and more! These children will have the chance to do their own reenacting which not only helps them to remember history more, but also creates an interest in learning more.  When children can “participate” in history, it becomes real to them.  It is no longer just something that they read about, they now comprehend it.  Give your child the chance to be a pioneer, come to Pioneer Life at the Cabin Summer Day Camp. Bring a sack lunch. Snack will be provided.
