In cooperation with USA Dance, the History Center invites the community to a special centennial celebration on the dance floor. Join us for a fun and welcoming series of weekly dance lessons inspired by styles from across the last century.
Experience the elegance of 1920s foxtrot, swing into the energetic rhythms of 1940s East Coast swing, and groove along with the playful viral dances of the 2020s—with many decades in between.
Each class is designed for all skill levels. No prior dance experience and no partner are required. Lessons are taught by local professional dance instructors.
All lessons lead to a Grand Dance Celebration on April 25, 2026, bringing together a full century of music, movement, and community in one unforgettable event.

Join us for our spectacular final dance celebration, the exciting culmination of eleven weeks of dance lessons all leading up to one unforgettable evening. Come dressed in your favorite decade’s best and step into a night filled with rhythm, style, and community spirit.
Enjoy a live professional dance showcase and a lively community dance featuring music from the past 100 years. The evening also includes a relaxed social hour, historical displays, refreshments, and a photographer on site to capture the memories. Whether you’re dancing, watching, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, this celebration is the perfect finale to our shared dance journey.
